Arnageddon is a picture that stops most people dead in their tracks!

This image tells you to stop and look.

Its combination of colours and moody ring of trees set against the setting sun captures everyone who see’s it.

Yet Armageddon is no ordinary picture … Yes it is a photograph taken from Exmoor of a stand of trees near my home in North Molton with Hartland point in the background just as the sun exploded into a stunning sunset … but it is more than that, much more!

Armageddon was called “Hartland Point Sunset” until I got to dislike the unbalanced nature of the photograph.

The trees were a little too uneven and the sky was not the same on both sides of the picture, after a while I got to thinking it was time to reorder nature.

I decided to cut the picture in half and duplicate the left side of the image and then reatatch it to the right side in a “Mirror” fashion.

Armageddon was born and Hartland point is on both sides of the picture!
