Product Description
Gaily painted this defiant old sand barge lies rotting here on Crow Point, her working days over she silently waits for each tide to wash her boards and deposit more sand inside her hull.
In the 1950’s and 60’s my Father and I whilst fishing in the estuary of the river Taw would stand and watch as she and her sister’s would chug along on the incoming tide, so low in the water with their sandy cargo that you could never understand how they floated.
That time has past and she alone stands here as a reminder of those long gone days.
